Translator training

I have worked as a course tutor for the MA in Applied Translation Studies at the University of Leeds since 2008. I teach Computer-Assisted Translation as part of team, specialising in SDL Trados 2009 and assisting with sessions on DVX, OmegaT, Passolo, STAR Transit NXT and Wordfast. I also teach French-English Specialised Translation, focusing on different text types and strategies to help students improve their translation skills and prepare themselves for a professional career.

In 2010 I became the course tutor for the Technological Tools for Translators module at the University of East Anglia. Students learn how to use SDL Trados 2007 and 2009 with MultiTerm and explore the practical application of machine translation evaluation methods.

I am a regular visitor to the University of Hull, where I deliver workshops on translation technology, the translation industry and how to become a successful translator.
